Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications and services.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant infrastructure.
- Deploy application and service updates and implement required integrations.
- Troubleshoot testing and production issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Automate deployments and operational processes with distributed engineering teams.
- Install and manage container orchestration software and repositories.
- Operate source control, code scanning, observability, dashboards, and alerting tools.
- Monitor resource usage and develop enhancements to system capabilities and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on product and technical requirements and integration needs.
- Design and support software and web applications and assist with software releases.
- Create technical documentation, software designs, evaluation plans, test results, manuals, and recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to junior software development engineers.
- Work with Quality Assurance to assess application specifications and technical requirements.
- Work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime, as necessary.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a DevOps engineer.
- Experience with DevOps toolchains, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with cloud platforms, including preferred OpenStack and AWS.
- Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure stacks.
- Experience with Linux systems administration.
- Knowledge of deploying applications written in Golang or Python.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Argo CD and Concourse.
- Experience monitoring and managing cloud resources, services, and systems.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Alerta.
- Ability to resolve complex systems problems, prioritize and multitask, and communicate effectively with technical and management colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Comcast may consider coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
