
Back-end Software Engineer
TripAdvisorResponsibilities
- Build and maintain software used by tour and activity businesses worldwide.
- Develop new backend features and modernize legacy parts of the codebase.
- Write production code daily in a hands-on engineering role.
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features from concept through production.
- Refactor the platform, reduce technical debt, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers to refine ideas and improve the backend platform.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java and modern backend architectures.
- At least 4 years of experience.
- Comfort communicating in English.
- Preferred: willingness to work across the stack.
- Preferred: background in travel, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms.
