Responsibilities
- Review specifications, functional requirements, and existing test documentation to identify potential quality risks.
- Contribute to test suites and write detailed test cases for distributed SOC system features.
- Execute defined test cases on regular testing cadences, analyze results, and report defects clearly and accurately.
- Perform functional, non-functional, system, integration, and end-to-end testing involving cameras, doors, and access control systems.
- Support quality initiatives throughout the development lifecycle and collaborate with development teams on issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0+ years of professional experience in manual, system, or integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with or strong understanding of large-scale distributed systems involving hardware and software components.
- Practical experience with defect logging, triage processes, and development-team collaboration.
- Working knowledge of test management and ticketing tools such as Jira or TestRail.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Preferred: experience using AI tools for productivity and testing, understanding of test automation methodologies, and familiarity with security, surveillance, or physical access control systems.
Benefits
- Target base salary is $100,000 CAD–$110,000 CAD per year.
- Hybrid Vancouver work arrangement requiring 1–2 office days per week.
