Base Salary
$150k - $211k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software codes for Intel quantum hardware constraints.
- Research and develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems.
- Assess technical feasibility, prioritize development, and drive advanced solutions with internal teams and external industry partners.
- Evaluate technology alternatives and hardware/software trade-offs for implementing quantum error-correcting codes.
- Collaborate with quantum computing hardware and software teams and with algorithm and application researchers.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams and promote best practices and high-quality software delivery.
- Monitor industry trends, share insights, and collaborate with technologists across Intel and external organizations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in quantum error correction research and development.
- Proficiency in software tools development using C++, Python, or similar programming languages and frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Preferred: leadership experience guiding technical teams and setting strategic development priorities.
- Preferred: strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and industry partners.
- Preferred: ability to track emerging industry trends and translate them into technical strategies.
