Responsibilities
- Design, implement, enhance, install, and support enterprise application systems and programs.
- Analyze and interpret code, identify system enhancements, and recommend programming solutions.
- Develop and maintain Java/J2EE, Spring, REST service, microservices, and UI applications.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues and perform testing and debugging.
- Work with users, clients, and technology groups to resolve issues and support application systems.
- Use Oracle and container technologies including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders.
- Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, implement solutions, and escalate or report control issues appropriately.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry and intermediate application development experience.
- The posting also requests 5+ years of experience engineering services and using the listed products and infrastructure technology delivery.
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Git, Oracle, and application development products.
- Strong working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and container platforms including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS.
- Experience with Jasper Framework, REST services, microservices architecture, and database technologies including Oracle.
- Experience with Jenkins is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with JSP, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, CI/CD pipelines, and IntelliJ IDEA.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision and appropriately assess and manage risk.
