Base Salary
$145k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain core money platform capabilities with emphasis on high availability, security, and scalability.
- Own team operations and availability through monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, alerting, and on-call support.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Articulate technical constraints and help make decisions that account for risks and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java or Go.
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Redis.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Three or more years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with significant payments, billing, or financial technology experience.
- Deep understanding of authorization, capture, settlement, and reconciliation in the payment processing lifecycle.
- Direct experience with payment gateways such as Stripe, Adyen, or PayPal.
- Experience architecting and operating large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems handling financial data.
- Knowledge of fraud detection techniques and experience building or integrating risk management systems.
