Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance software that meets business requirements.
- Serve as a technical lead by proposing solutions and guiding team members.
- Lead automation, defect metrics, code quality, and broader quality initiatives.
- Maintain and present project metrics for management review.
- Coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, internal groups, and vendors.
- Develop project schedules and track deliverables.
- Support batch and online development across the Core Payments environment.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Micro Focus COBOL, DB2 LUW, and TWS Scheduler.
- Experience with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and PROC.
- Experience in batch and online development and full-lifecycle software projects.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Understanding of payment and cards industry functions is required or expected.
- Automation and code-quality experience.
- Ability to guide people toward appropriate technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Exposure to Java/J2EE and Spring Boot is an added advantage.
