Responsibilities

  • Design and build tools, runtimes, and services that improve the speed, safety, and intuitiveness of AI development.
  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Debug, learn, iterate, and incorporate feedback from teammates.
  • Complete software projects end to end in a collaborative team environment.
  • Contribute to AI-first tools and developer platforms while demonstrating Microsoft’s culture and values.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in one or more of C/C++, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, testing practices, and quality fundamentals.
  • Ability to debug, seek feedback, and iterate with teammates.
  • Preferred: passion for AI/ML and AI-assisted developer experiences such as Copilot and LLM-powered tools.
  • Preferred: exposure to compilers, runtimes, performance optimization, or systems programming.
  • Preferred: familiarity with distributed systems and Azure cloud services.
