Responsibilities
- Drive quality engineering strategy and maintain Java-based automation frameworks using Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, and TestNG.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing cycles, including planning, execution, reporting, and release-readiness assessment.
- Use AI code-assist tools and context-engineering techniques to develop intelligent, maintainable, business-aligned test suites.
- Develop reusable RestAssured API testing components covering payloads, schemas, status checks, and error handling.
- Create Cucumber behavior-driven scenarios and optimize TestNG grouping, prioritization, parallel execution, and reporting.
- Monitor automation stability, analyze failures, improve locators and test-data strategies, and strengthen test coverage.
- Integrate automation into build pipelines and release processes to enforce quality gates and provide rapid feedback.
- Review requirements and design artifacts, clarify acceptance criteria, analyze defects, and support root-cause improvements.
- Mentor team members on quality engineering, automation tools, coding practices, and scalable testing approaches.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of experience in quality engineering or test automation.
- Telecom domain experience is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency designing and maintaining Java automation frameworks using Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, and TestNG.
- Hands-on experience with AI code-assist tools and applying context-engineering principles to test design.
- Experience with UI testing, robust locators, modular page structures, API validation, behavior-driven testing, and large-scale TestNG execution.
- Preferred experience in billing and revenue management, including rating, invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
- Experience with defect management, test documentation, reporting, requirements traceability, and audit support.
- Recommended certifications include ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer and a relevant Java programming certification.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
