Base Salary

$98k - $174k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve Spring Boot-based Java frameworks for Raptor.io and eBay’s site-facing traffic.
  • Build, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Tekton.
  • Develop AI-powered tooling and solutions to streamline platform engineering workflows and improve developer experience.
  • Coordinate cross-team releases, manage dependencies, and align platform changes with the product roadmap.
  • Create optimized Docker images and manage Kubernetes-based deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, security, and compliance through patching, vulnerability scanning, secure data handling, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional Java development experience, including strong Spring Boot and Maven proficiency in production-grade services or platforms.
  • Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and fixing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Tekton, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including experience building and managing production-ready images and deployments.
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control and branching strategies in large, distributed codebases.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, QA, operations, and security teams across geographies and time zones.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused approach to supporting global platform initiatives.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $98,000–$173,600, with potential target bonus, restricted stock units, medical and financial benefits, 401(k) eligibility, PTO, and parental leave.
  • Austin-based role; the posting also references remote roles and states that remote roles are not eligible for U.S. visa sponsorship.
  • Employees are hired in an at-will position.
