Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Ruby backend services.
- Integrate with payment gateways, banks, and third-party APIs.
- Build systems that efficiently handle high transaction volumes with low latency.
- Implement security practices for sensitive data handling and fraud prevention.
- Write unit and integration tests as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor team members and conduct code reviews while maintaining delivery agility.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies using OpenSearch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
- Monitor metrics and alarms and contribute to rapid incident resolution.
Requirements
- Be an advanced student or graduate of Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field, or be in the final years of such a program.
- Have at least two years of backend development experience.
- Have strong knowledge of developing, designing, and using APIs; JSON:API, OpenAPI, and JSON Schema are preferred.
- Understand HTTP and other internet protocols including TCP, UDP, and WebSocket.
- Understand relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Have advanced Git knowledge and understand the importance of a clear, orderly commit history.
- Linux development experience is a plus.
- Experience in payment gateway, fintech, or related companies is a plus.
