Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test scalable software for machine learning virtual screening pipelines.
- Integrate machine learning applications with physics-based backends, including docking and free energy perturbation.
- Collaborate with scientists to adapt existing workflows for new discovery cases and develop new methodologies.
- Explore scientific literature and benchmark novel machine learning approaches to improve the accuracy and applicability of hit discovery workflows.
- Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, physics, computer science, or a related field.
- One to three years of production-level software development experience.
- Machine learning knowledge, such as reinforcement learning or active learning, for predicting properties of biological or chemical systems.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Familiarity with molecular dynamics simulation, free energy calculation methods, ligand-based drug design, cheminformatics, quantum mechanics, virtual screening, or structured modeling is preferred.
- Experience developing relevant commercial or open-source computational chemistry software is preferred.
