Base Salary

$135k - $202k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, review, maintain, test, and optimize real-time embedded GNSS and location software.
  • Develop multi-threaded software with inter-process communication and multiple software/firmware interfaces.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to verify hardware features and debug hardware-related issues.
  • Collaborate with systems teams on algorithm development, digital signal processing, and implementation.
  • Work with test teams to diagnose and resolve system-level functional and performance issues.
  • Contribute to software architecture, system design discussions, and development methodology.
  • Optimize software for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Preferred 3–5 years of experience designing, developing, and debugging medium- to large-scale real-time embedded systems.
  • Strong C programming experience and understanding of RTOS and multi-threaded software design.
  • Experience with ARM-based development and debugging tools such as TRACE32.
  • Background in digital signal processing, GNSS receiver concepts, GNSS measurement engine design, signal acquisition and tracking, navigation algorithms, state machines, and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of WWAN technologies such as WCDMA, LTE, and 5G or other communication protocols.
  • Experience with MATLAB and scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Experience with MIPS profiling, memory optimization, and power optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and understand end-to-end system goals.
