Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of the KDB+ platform supporting Equities Electronic Trading.
- Build and maintain low-latency systems for high-volume market data processing and analytics generation.
- Architect and maintain data management, analytics, and data-service platforms for trading applications.
- Scale, load-balance, and optimize KDB+ applications and queries across very large datasets.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions and define system enhancements.
- Resolve complex, high-impact business and system process problems.
- Establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts while allocating work as needed.
- Assess and manage risk and maintain compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with strong KDB+ and Q language knowledge.
- Practical experience scaling and load-balancing KDB+ applications.
- Proven expertise building resilient and highly available KDB+ applications.
- Extensive experience managing and optimizing query performance on terabyte- and petabyte-scale datasets.
- Strong knowledge of financial market protocols, including FIX, and experience handling order and market datasets.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience in Markets Electronic Trading or Market Making.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.

- Base salary range of $142,320.00 to $213,480.00, with potential discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
