Responsibilities
- Research, scope, and validate AI use cases with teams to drive business value and innovation.
- Promote responsible AI adoption through scientific evaluation and operational assessment of proposed applications.
- Design and build MLOps components including vector databases, feature stores, and model-serving systems.
- Implement model deployment pipelines and uphold security, compliance, scalability, and operational best practices.
- Monitor and optimize system performance for millisecond-scale operation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams and contribute technical direction through the AI/ML guild.
- Develop AI/ML applications, prototypes, model fine-tuning initiatives, and production solutions focused on measurable ROI.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as PyTorch, Pandas, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Knowledge of common AI/ML models and experience applying them to specific problems.
- Strong software engineering skills, including designing and implementing services, data models, and features.
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with modern data platforms such as BigQuery or Databricks and data-processing workflows.
- Experience with cloud-hosted AI platforms including Bedrock, SageMaker, and Vertex AI.
- Experience developing AI/ML applications, fine-tuning models, creating prototypes, and taking solutions to production.
- Awareness of ethical considerations and emerging AI governance practices.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
- Open-source contributions, a strong GitHub portfolio, or demonstrated technical thought leadership are desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, learning, and technical-curiosity skills.
