Responsibilities
- Own mission problems from understanding user workflows through technical design, implementation, deployment, and outcome ownership.
- Architect, build, and direct a product deployed in customer environments for mission-critical use cases.
- Engage users and senior technical stakeholders to define mission needs, constraints, existing systems, and software opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end technical delivery for new workstreams, including requirements, system design, implementation, deployment, and sustainment.
- Write substantial production code across the stack and improve product capabilities, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product designers, and mission domain experts to deliver complex software features.
- Contribute to government-facing technical artifacts such as RFIs, RFPs, Statements of Work, and white papers.
- Integrate with government IT ecosystems while meeting security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Travel up to 50% from the NYC-based role to work directly with mission owners and deliver field capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres, caching technologies such as Redis, object storage such as S3, and modern front-end frameworks such as React.
- Experience developing and deploying software compliant with the DoD Risk Management Framework.
- Experience interfacing with government-owned IT systems, including data platforms, IdAM providers, SIEMs, and CDSs.
- Experience working with government IT and program offices to scope technical requirements, architecture, and integrations.
- Experience working with end users to scope mission requirements, conduct user testing, and gather product feedback.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to own ambiguous problems without fully specified requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Active U.S. TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
