Responsibilities
- Write software including tools, libraries, automation, and services.
- Design, build, operate, and improve the infrastructure platform and developer experience.
- Identify, evaluate, implement, refactor, rewrite, or retire platform features.
- Diagnose and repair distributed systems and perform maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
- Reduce repetitive tasks, alert noise, and business-as-usual operational work.
- Provide executable interfaces, tools, and best practices to support development teams across the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in a flexible on-call rotation and communicate through documentation, meetings, and demos.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience working in a software engineering role.
- Ability to write software using Java and strong working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proven experience creating stable, reliable, performant, and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with data modeling and schema design, plus knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred working knowledge of Linux systems administration, system troubleshooting, L3-L7 networking, and basic monitoring.
- Preferred experience operating, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Preferred understanding of SaaS software development practices or experience working on a SaaS product.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, adaptability, continuous learning, and accountability skills.
