Responsibilities

  • Lead complex software engineering initiatives and design, develop, test, and implement applications, system components, tools, utilities, models, simulations, and analytics.
  • Monitor and manage systems to improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and enhance application stability and resiliency.
  • Resolve technically challenging coding, testing, platform, and escalated production issues.
  • Lead teams in meeting objectives, risk management, compliance requirements, and technical challenges.
  • Mentor less experienced software engineers and collaborate with professionals, managers, stakeholders, production support, and platform engineering teams.
  • Perform ticket analysis, root cause analysis, issue recaps, permanent-fix recommendations, and escalation of critical issues.
  • Prepare complex reports and dashboards for leadership review.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent experience through work, training, military experience, or education.
  • Experience with Go and Rust, including smart contract development.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with blockchain platforms including Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, and the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol.
  • Expertise with blockchain technologies including Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, and Solana.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, cryptographic principles, consensus algorithms, token standards, and API design and REST integrations.
  • 5+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB.
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, and Harness.
  • 5+ years of experience with application performance and monitoring tools including Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with private cloud environments such as PCF or OCP and public cloud environments such as GCP.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SRE practices, systems engineering, technology architecture, ServiceNow, and infrastructure service management processes.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and team leadership skills.
