Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available tier 0 systems.
- Take ownership of backend infrastructure for core trust and security features.
- Evolve the technical roadmap for the Product Trust team and guide architectural decisions.
- Contribute to product design with a security and trust perspective.
- Lead engineering best practices in code quality, observability, incident response, and system reliability.
- Mentor engineers and support hiring, onboarding, and planning efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering roles, ideally in platform or security-focused domains.
- Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and web frameworks like React.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases (SQL/NoSQL), web services, and backend architecture.
- Passion for building secure by design products that are user-friendly.
- Demonstrated experience driving projects from ideation to production.
- Strong system design, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across team boundaries.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading small teams is a strong plus.
