Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services, infrastructure, developer productivity tools, and scalable software distribution and deployment solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Build and improve automation for the build-to-release lifecycle, including AI-driven quality gates and operational guardrails.
- Develop services using AWS infrastructure, including IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, API Gateway, S3, and Bedrock.
- Implement fine-grained access control, authentication, authorization, monitoring, and operational excellence practices.
- Partner with teams working on low-level embedded software systems for satellite-related solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute as a technical lead or engineering team lead.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 8 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and services, permissions, IAM roles, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience leveraging generative AI for productivity tooling, including Bedrock, Agent Core, and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or Go is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee under applicable export-control requirements.
Benefits
- Base salary ranges are $193,300-$261,500 annually in Sunnyvale, California, and $168,100-$227,400 annually in Redmond, Washington.
- Compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
