Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end features across the AI/backend engine, Node service layer, and React UI.
- Extend backend services, model interactions, structured outputs, streaming, state management, and persistence.
- Build Node backend-for-frontend endpoints with SSE streaming, authentication, and type-safe client-server contracts.
- Develop React streaming interfaces with live token streams, progress indicators, interactive charts and tables, and document preview/download flows.
- Handle long-running asynchronous work, partial state, reconnection, large payloads, and mid-flight failures.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and instrument client and server systems with logs, traces, and error tracking.
- Ship through staged launches with real users, monitor product behavior, and resolve issues between releases.
- Collaborate with product, design, and platform/backend engineers through reviews, design discussions, and technical writing.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience owning significant full-stack features across services, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node experience with type-safe backend services and APIs.
- Meaningful React experience and strong web-platform fundamentals, including streaming, asynchronous state, reconnection, performance, and accessibility.
- Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, and SQL, Git, and CI/CD.
- Understanding of deploying and operating applications in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, document designs, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 4+ years of professional full-stack or web application development.
- Preferred experience with Next.js, Remix, TanStack Start, Query, Form, Router, AI/LLM application development, type-safe API contracts, pnpm monorepos, Vite, Auth0, OAuth/OIDC, JWTs, Sentry, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, AdTech, MediaTech, data-heavy products, Python, Go, or shell.
