Responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of managed cyber security services across Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Securonix, and other cloud-native security platforms.
  • Own defined engineering work packages and smaller technical projects through agreed scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Design, configure, integrate, and support SaaS security platforms, cloud services, and related technologies.
  • Support Microsoft Azure and AWS engineering activities involving identity, networking, security configuration, monitoring, and service integration.
  • Enable customer data sources and security technologies using APIs, cloud connectors, agents, syslog, and other collection methods.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud platforms, security tools, integrations, and network connectivity.
  • Create and maintain technical designs, implementation guides, operating procedures, test plans, and knowledge articles.
  • Plan and execute technical testing, record evidence, validate outcomes, and support service acceptance.
  • Support upgrades, migrations, service improvements, customer transitions, vulnerability remediation, access management, security assurance, and audit evidence activities.
  • Identify automation and AI-enabled opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and delivery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with SOC, product, architecture, service operations, customer delivery teams, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging cyber security, cloud, and AI technologies and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in cyber security engineering, cloud engineering, security operations, infrastructure engineering, or a related technology discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services, including core cloud services, identity management, security controls, monitoring, and platform administration.
  • Some experience supporting, deploying, or operating SIEM, XDR, EDR, cloud security, or identity security solutions.
  • Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and secure network connectivity.
  • Strong problem-solving, workload management, prioritization, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud services, applications, security platforms, APIs, and network environments is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, CrowdStrike NG-SIEM, Securonix, or similar enterprise security platforms is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS environments and managed security services, SOC environments, or large-scale enterprise security operations is desirable.
  • Understanding of threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, cyber threat management, identity and access management, and authentication services is desirable.
  • Awareness of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, privileged access management, ISO27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and Cyber Essentials is desirable.
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or generative AI applications in cyber security operations, threat detection, automation, and security analytics is desirable.
  • A relevant foundation-level certification in Azure, AWS, networking, or cyber security, or equivalent structured learning, is desirable.
