Responsibilities
- Play assigned games to completion and execute pre-written test cases.
- Document glitches, bugs, inaccuracies, test results, and usability findings in specified systems.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, reports, and user-level and systems documentation based on client specifications.
- Assist with test-environment setup and teardown.
- Serve as a technical lead and informal test-team lead across multiple projects.
- Act as the main client contact and help prioritize testing requirements.
- Coach junior staff and provide feedback on team members’ progress and professional growth.
- Analyze and improve testing practices and maintain relevant hardware knowledge.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in game testing.
- Strong academic or practical knowledge of QA methodologies, testing tools, software testing standards, testing strategies, and the software development cycle.
- Proven experience executing, drafting, and managing test cases for one or more features.
- Ability to write detailed and concise bug reports.
- Experience with industry-standard testing software such as JIRA, TestRail, Confluence, or equivalents.
- Experience running build files with software suites such as Visual Studio.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Preferred higher education in technology.
- Good interpersonal skills, creativity, efficiency, attention to detail, and work organization.
