Responsibilities
- Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end across multiple architectural layers.
- Architect and develop scalable applications and systems.
- Design and implement secure, maintainable software solutions that integrate with numerous other systems.
- Provide recommendations and best practices for application, platform, and developer-tool development.
- Experiment with emerging technologies and apply industry best practices.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across time zones.
- Communicate technical ideas clearly to employees, customers, management, and executives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance software applications with AI technology.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers on software engineering, AI-enabled applications, and technical practices.
- Launch AI integrations in production and evaluate their impact using appropriate performance and user-satisfaction metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
- Experience writing scalable application code with accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation considerations.
- Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, web, and mobile design constraints.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
- Proficiency with mid-tier programming languages such as Java.
- Experience with test automation, including unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Experience designing and implementing relational databases, SQL, NoSQL databases, and analytics systems.
- Interest in building CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with microservices, container technologies, and container management systems such as Kubernetes or Mesos.
- Experience with utility computing or cloud computing domains and deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
- Experience building or integrating functional AI models using techniques such as LLM prompting and AutoML modeling.
- Ability to evaluate and monitor production AI performance and make adjustments for optimal application performance.
- In-depth understanding of AI integration and ability to lead integration efforts while coaching junior engineers.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.
