Responsibilities
- Partner with architects to implement platform strategy and lead technical design and delivery across AWS serverless and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Break architectural initiatives into milestones, establish reusable implementation patterns, and guide platform modernization.
- Improve reliability, reduce incident frequency and severity, and strengthen logging, metrics, tracing, incident response, and deployment safety.
- Advance CI/CD automation, Kubernetes cluster design and networking, logging pipelines, cost visibility, tagging standards, and platform guardrails.
- Improve developer experience by establishing deployment and monitoring golden paths and increasing DORA metric visibility.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead technical discussions and design reviews, communicate technical risks, and influence engineering standards across teams.
- Support responsible AI tooling adoption and disciplined prioritization of platform work.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering.
- Experience operating serverless and Kubernetes environments at scale.
- Proven record of improving reliability and reducing operational toil while collaborating with multiple engineering teams.
- Strong AWS expertise, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and VPC.
- Strong Kubernetes and EKS experience, including networking and observability.
- Advanced infrastructure-as-code experience, with Terraform preferred.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline design experience and understanding of distributed systems and reliability engineering.
- Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, OpenSearch, Prometheus/Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with DORA metrics, SRE models, incident-reduction initiatives, developer onboarding, platform UX, and AI-assisted development tooling is desirable.
- Experience writing tools in Python, Node.js, or similar scripting languages is desirable.
