Base Salary
$43k - $74k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of application and system software for medical devices using C++ and Qt.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, and other cross-functional engineers and technicians on cryoablation device features and updates.
- Assist new product development teams with device development and testing.
- Research and analyze clinical and market data for potential new market opportunities using tools such as Python Pandas and Matlab.
- Apply understanding of asymmetric cryptography, digital certificates, PKI, TLS/SSL, and certificate management.
- Participate in training, hands-on engineering work, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Must graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- Must commit to either May 17th–August 6th or May 24th–August 13th for the full internship period.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future for employment-based work authorization.
- Must have reliable transportation to the Boston Scientific Corporate location in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- Strong embedded software design knowledge is required.
- Experience with Qt, Python, and/or Matlab is required.
- Preferred qualifications include embedded Linux device-design experience, Qt-based user-interface development knowledge, and effective communication with diverse cross-functional teams.
