Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and operational health of services using large language models and generative AI.
  • Design and deliver distributed production selection-processing pipelines from product-catalog ingestion through customer-facing offer availability.
  • Build distributed extraction pipelines using LLMs and browser automation to convert merchant website data into structured product offers.
  • Partner with applied scientists and engineering teams on massive datasets, ML model scaling, evaluation criteria, data quality, and checkout integration.
  • Drive architecture and technical strategy for data-enrichment pipelines, model-optimization frameworks, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Prototype generative AI technologies and move successful experiments into production while managing technical risks and roadblocks.
  • Maintain production health, offer freshness, accuracy SLAs, and operational excellence for owned systems.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
  • Experience using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Preferred master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience contributing to architecture and design, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Preferred knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
  • Preferred experience programming in a modern language such as Java, C++, or C# with object-oriented design.
