Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and resolution of highly complex, enterprise-wide engineering challenges.
- Design, deploy, and maintain PCI-compliant architectures and scalable cardholder-data protection solutions.
- Collaborate with business lines, Risk, Security, and Compliance teams to identify data risks and develop remediation strategies.
- Design and prototype AI and agentic AI solutions for data discovery, classification, risk scoring, and automated evidence generation.
- Evaluate and integrate data tokenization, encryption, logging, and AI-driven policy-enforcement tools.
- Serve as a PCI and AI subject-matter expert, mentor engineers, influence enterprise architecture, and contribute to technology roadmaps.
- Advise leadership on innovative business solutions, technology direction, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 7+ years of experience implementing solutions aligned with PCI DSS requirements.
- 7+ years of hands-on Java and Python experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration architecture.
- 7+ years of experience with databases and data models.
- 5+ years of Agile experience.
- Experience designing, deploying, and architecting data-at-rest encryption or tokenization solutions is preferred.
- Knowledge of PCI scope-reduction techniques such as tokenization, P2PE, and segmentation is preferred.
- Knowledge of agentic AI concepts and their use in security or compliance is preferred.
- PCI ISA or AI/ML certifications and contributions to open-source security tools, AI frameworks, or PCI industry working groups are preferred.
