Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance data science solutions using software engineering best practices.
- Convert data science prototypes into production-quality data science and machine learning solutions.
- Implement machine learning solutions at scale in on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Create and improve data science methods, tools, and best practices.
- Foster knowledge exchange around machine learning, code quality, and engineering practices.
- Present the company’s machine learning engineering and data science expertise at conferences and workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree reflecting computer science or engineering and statistical or mathematical skills.
- Typically 2+ years of work experience.
- Solid experience with production-level code quality metrics and collaboration with software and testing engineers.
- Expert Python skills and familiarity with the relevant statistical ecosystem.
- Strong statistical skills in at least one of survey statistics, econometric modeling, observational causal inference, or experimental design.
- Experience working with Docker.
- Strong mathematical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, organization, flexibility, decisiveness, commitment, and attention to detail.
