Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve planning and scheduling products that help transit planners evaluate concepts and make data-informed service decisions.
- Build, scale, and improve optimization and backend systems for production performance and reliability.
- Own software features end to end from concept through production.
- Collaborate with designers, data scientists, algorithm researchers, product managers, transit planners, schedulers, and customers.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, architecture discussions, productivity tools, and code quality processes.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building and scaling a computationally hard production system such as optimization, routing, search, simulation, or geospatial processing.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a user-centered approach to product development.
- Experience with operations research, mathematical optimization, or applied machine learning is preferred but not required.
- Experience with geospatial data, mapping technologies, or data visualization is preferred but not required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and engage with customers and cross-functional partners.
