Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for business risk management across TikTok products and platforms.
- Prototype solutions, conduct experiments, validate hypotheses, and provide insights to Product and Tech teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve automation processes.
- Build data-querying infrastructure for real-time and offline analysis and identify opportunities to strengthen risk defenses.
- Define risk control metrics and align teams and stakeholders on quantitative goals.
- Document technical processes and communicate results through writing, visualizations, and presentations.
Requirements
- Completing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in machine learning theories and applications including ensemble trees, deep neural networks, transfer and multi-task learning, reinforcement learning, graph theory, and unsupervised learning.
- Experience with Python, SQL/Hive, and Hadoop.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Detail orientation, effective time management, and strong analytical skills.
- A completing or recently completed master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Software engineering experience from internships, work experience, coding competitions, or publications is preferred.
- Internship or research experience, especially in e-commerce or risk control, is preferred.
- Curiosity toward new technologies, entrepreneurship, creativity, and quick problem-solving capabilities are preferred.
