Base Salary
$165k - $276k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction, architecture, and long-term evolution of Amplitude’s iOS SDK platform.
- Own development of the Analytics and Session Replay iOS SDKs with a focus on performance, reliability, and ease of use.
- Serve as the iOS platform expert and partner to the Experiment, Guides, and Surveys SDK teams.
- Design and evolve shared infrastructure, APIs, and abstractions across multiple iOS SDKs.
- Lead cross-team technical discussions, reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Improve developer experience through APIs, documentation, tooling, testing strategies, and sample applications.
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Support to address customer needs.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant iOS development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with experience using modern iOS APIs, frameworks, and development tools.
- Experience designing public APIs with an emphasis on stability and backward compatibility.
- Experience debugging complex issues across a broad range of iOS devices and operating system versions.
- Familiarity with iOS performance profiling, memory management, and concurrency.
- Strong developer-experience focus, technical judgment, communication skills, and ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
