Responsibilities
- Advance pricing intelligence using probabilistic forecasting, elasticity estimation, contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, and other optimization methods.
- Improve booking-curve and final-occupancy demand forecasts, including uncertainty estimates for safer pricing decisions.
- Build historical replay, simulation, backtesting, shadow deployment, and controlled rollout capabilities.
- Turn machine-learning models into reliable, tested, observable Python services and own deployment, monitoring, and rollback.
- Debug pricing, data, integration, and production issues, investigate customer-reported problems, and identify root causes.
- Strengthen reservation, occupancy, competitor-rate, PMS, and event-data pipelines and contribute to AI-powered explanations and revenue-manager tools.
- Improve systems after incidents through better tests, monitoring, documentation, safeguards, or architecture.
Requirements
- Experience taking machine-learning systems from problem definition through production deployment and monitoring.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, including modular, typed, tested production software development beyond exploratory notebooks.
- Solid foundation in statistics, experimentation, forecasting, and model evaluation.
- Experience working with time-dependent, noisy, incomplete, or imperfect real-world data.
- Proven ability to debug production systems involving data pipelines, APIs, asynchronous jobs, integrations, and model behavior.
- Experience investigating customer-reported issues, finding root causes, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort with APIs, relational databases, containers, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
- Ability to balance model sophistication with reliability, explainability, and business value and to drive ambiguous problems through completion.
- Preferred experience includes contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, probabilistic forecasting, hierarchical Bayesian modeling, pricing, revenue management, causal inference, off-policy evaluation, model monitoring, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, third-party integrations, LLM applications, or agentic workflows.
Benefits
- Full-time hybrid role based in Beirut, Lebanon.
