Responsibilities
- Build new electronics manufacturing test stations and provide high-tier support for existing stations.
- Design and maintain Python test software and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure for avionics production and certification.
- Translate manual acceptance procedures into reliable automated software in collaboration with software, hardware, and manufacturing engineers.
- Maintain database schemas and ELT pipelines for test-result analytics.
- Deliver web UIs and backend services and deploy them through CI/CD pipelines.
- Design networking paths between test stations and aircraft hardware using TCP/IP, UDP, and routing fundamentals.
- Build asynchronous Python services and drivers for electronic test equipment using gRPC, WebSockets, Modbus TCP, and SCPI/VISA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 2+ years of full-time industry experience; or an advanced degree with practical experience.
- Strong object-oriented Python skills, including asyncio for high-concurrency hardware control.
- Exposure to C++, C, Go, and SQL.
- Experience operating multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition devices, and other electronics test equipment.
- Experience with networking, Modbus, I2C, SCPI/VISA, and writing electronics test-equipment drivers.
- Demonstrable software-development experience for production test equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience designing and implementing test strategies for automation frameworks and libraries.
- Understanding of continuous integration, continuous development, and DevOps tools.
- Preferred experience building full-stack applications with FastAPI, efficient web-based UIs, and backend services.
- Ability to collaborate across distributed teams, gather requirements, adapt quickly, and contribute a teaching-oriented approach.
