Base Salary

$158k - $226k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Become the resident expert for Netskope’s PKI platform and ensure its services are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Partner with product managers and architects to shape requirements and review designs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Design test strategies covering certificate lifecycles, APIs, and distributed cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks using Python, PyTest, and Selenium.
  • Automate REST APIs, enrollment workflows, OCSP, CRL, and other essential services.
  • Validate TLS/mTLS, digital signatures, and encryption protocols.
  • Own feature quality from development through production monitoring.
  • Create automated suites for performance, resiliency, and chaos testing.
  • Collaborate with SREs, security engineers, and support teams to improve the platform.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, resolve customer problems, and improve automation based on findings.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering practices.
  • Mentor engineers and help lead the technical direction of the Quality Engineering group.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 5 or more years focused on SDET roles for cloud applications.
  • Expert-level Python skills and experience building scalable test frameworks.
  • Experience with PyTest, Robot, Selenium, or Playwright.
  • Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PKI, including X.509 certificates, certificate authorities, certificate lifecycle management, CRL/OCSP, CSRs, SSL/TLS, mTLS, digital signatures, and encryption.
  • Experience with security products such as SWG, CFW, or Zero Trust platforms.
  • Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and HTTPS.
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, SAML, and JWT.
  • Experience validating highly available and secure distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
  • Practical adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Gemini.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline is required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes Venafi, HashiCorp Vault, HSMs, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Drone, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Linux, shell scripting, Istio, or Linkerd.

Benefits

  • National base salary range of $158,000-$225,500 USD.
  • Eligible candidates may receive bonus-plan and stock-award compensation.
