Responsibilities

  • Build highly scalable distributed solutions across the full stack to support user experiences and business growth.
  • Partner with development, product, and SRE teams to ensure product quality and deploy and manage cloud-based data infrastructure.
  • Own critical applications end to end, including leadership during customer-impacting incidents and post-incident improvements.
  • Provide technical direction in technology, system design, architecture, and complex requirements analysis.
  • Deliver proofs of concept to validate architecture and feature-development direction.
  • Improve quality through collaboration, automation, process improvement, and innovative engineering practices.
  • Champion AI-enabled engineering practices to improve software delivery, quality, and developer productivity.
  • Mentor and develop engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience managing and deploying commercial software products.
  • Experience building full-stack products with web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple backend languages.
  • Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems and managing solutions on GCP or AWS.
  • Experience with cloud-based architecture, cloud-native solutions, infrastructure management, performance engineering, and optimization.
  • Expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or Claude for engineering productivity, quality, automation, architecture, troubleshooting, and delivery.
  • Proficiency with Java and/or Scala, Python, Spark/PySpark, scripting languages, Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Strong written and oral communication, ownership, problem-solving, collaboration, continuous learning, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
