Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop validation strategies and detailed functional, performance, power, and stress test plans from silicon bring-up through product release.
  • Execute validation plans across RTL simulation, emulation, and physical silicon environments.
  • Conduct hands-on silicon bring-up and debug using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Validate ML accelerator performance, accuracy, and reliability using real-world neural network workloads.
  • Build automated test infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and regression frameworks for validation at scale.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to triage failures and drive root-cause analysis to closure.
  • Review test results, identify patterns, and provide feedback to improve design quality and validation coverage.
  • Support production systems in AWS data centers and address field issues.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on post-silicon validation or system validation engineering experience.
  • Programming experience in at least one language, with strong production-quality test-code skills in Python, Lua, C/C++, or Rust.
  • Experience developing and executing validation test plans for complex SoCs, CPUs, or accelerators.
  • Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debugging equipment.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and digital design principles.
  • Proficiency with Linux, Git, and SSH.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex hardware/software issues.
  • Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, AWS or cloud technology knowledge, automated test framework and CI/CD pipeline experience, PCIe or HBM expertise, ML hardware or GPU validation, emulation platforms, firmware development, EDA simulation tools, and SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches.
  • Preferred: experience leading validation efforts and mentoring engineers.
