Base Salary
$115k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and launch major software features for networking automation, network health monitoring, control-plane services, and auto-recovery.
- Design and build scalable, highly available, high-performance distributed services for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Operate production services, improve resilience, diagnose performance issues, and troubleshoot incidents.
- Design service-to-service interactions and work across low-level systems and broad distributed-system architectures.
- Assemble and lead a team combining software engineering and network control expertise.
- Communicate technical decisions through proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior technical leaders on complex infrastructure challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, programming paradigms, highly available services, service-oriented design patterns, and service-to-service communication protocols.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience with service discovery, secret storage, containerization, software-defined networking, production operations, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience designing major features, launching them into production, and operating high-scale services.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud-native control-plane/data-plane experience, complex-environment performance troubleshooting, cloud-scale datacenter physical-asset lifecycle knowledge, and distributed-systems experience.
- Ability to work independently in collaborative, cross-functional environments and communicate technical ideas effectively.
