Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement control software for the Karno Power Module.
- Define and conduct software verification tests and tune control parameters against performance indicators.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation covering system performance, control strategies, and compliance.
- Process and analyze data to verify software, support root cause analysis, and optimize performance.
- Assist with customer requirements and corresponding engineering specifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and travel as needed for system testing, performance evaluation, and on-site troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of genset, power plant, or hybrid vehicle control systems.
- Experience with MIL/SIL testing environments, Controller Area Networks, PLCs or embedded systems, and electrical or electromechanical systems.
- Experience developing controls software in MATLAB/Simulink and knowledge of classical and modern control disciplines.
- Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- C/C++ or Python experience is a plus.
- Ability to work safely in laboratories and dynos, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and prepare technical reports.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and travel as needed.
