Base Salary

$161k - $221k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable pipelines to collect, process, and analyze high-volume sensor data.
  • Model physical relationships governing complex manufacturing processes.
  • Develop predictive and control algorithms using physics-based and machine learning methods.
  • Create ML surrogates and reduced-order models based on rigorous physics simulations.
  • Build maintainable software modules for manufacturing tools, control systems, dashboards, and intelligent automation applications.
  • Analyze sensor and metrology data and iteratively improve simulation and model accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with physics, engineering, software, and data science teams to deploy solutions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, or a master's degree in one of those fields plus at least 2 years of relevant industry or research experience.
  • Deep expertise in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, computational science, or simulation-driven engineering.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning, data science, and statistical modeling.
  • Strong software engineering skills and the ability to produce clean, scalable, production-ready code.
  • Experience with computational methods, computer-aided engineering, engineering simulation, physical modeling, or complex systems analysis is preferred.
  • Experience applying machine learning to scientific, engineering, or industrial problems is preferred.
  • Interest or experience in sensors, instrumentation, hardware systems, robotics, or software connected to physical-world applications is preferred.
  • Public GitHub repositories, open-source contributions, peer-reviewed publications, or equivalent technical work demonstrating code quality are preferred.
