Responsibilities
- Design and develop new product features for the XDR customer-facing application.
- Build and maintain integrations, services, pipelines, ETL workflows, and scalable data architectures.
- Optimize SQL and NoSQL databases through query tuning, schema design, indexing, and performance improvements.
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Design and enforce data security policies and practices, including encryption and access controls.
- Troubleshoot application and operational problems and improve team processes.
- Create documentation and reports covering data architectures, pipelines, processes, and performance metrics.
- Guide and mentor software engineering team members and influence projects and peer groups.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operations and achieve team-level goals.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-time software engineering experience.
- Alternatively, 5–8 years of data engineering experience designing and optimizing complex ETL pipelines and data processing workflows.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with Node.js.
- At least 1 year of experience with React.js.
- Strong communication skills across teams and disciplines.
- Interest in leading projects from initial concept through delivery.
- Preferred experience with agentic AI development, Elasticsearch or MongoDB, AWS, and large data streams.
- Preferred AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification, or equivalent cloud data certification.
- Knowledge of data integration, cloud data platforms, data architecture, big data technologies, data pipeline development, cloud computing, infrastructure-as-code tools, data warehousing, data ingestion tools, and performance optimization.
