Responsibilities
- Evaluate and transform platform architecture to incorporate emerging AI capabilities.
- Define AI strategy and act as an internal and external AI evangelist for identity products.
- Advise the Head of Engineering and executive leadership on complex technical and architectural decisions.
- Design robust, scalable, secure AI-driven systems, distributed cloud architectures, and data pipelines for global high-volume workloads.
- Mentor individual contributors and engineering managers and raise organizational technical capabilities.
- Conduct technical competitive analysis across AI, identity, and Directory-as-a-Service markets.
- Adapt architecture and technical strategy as AI models, frameworks, and security requirements evolve.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering or architecture experience, including at least 4+ years dedicated to deep AI integrations.
- Proven experience in IAM, Directory-as-a-Service, Zero Trust, endpoint management, or comparable identity domains.
- Track record designing, building, and maintaining distributed cloud architectures and data pipelines at massive scale.
- Demonstrated adaptability, disruptive innovation, and ability to lead architectural change.
- Experience mentoring engineers and engineering managers and leading through influence.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts as strategic guidance to engineering and executive leadership.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating competitors, anticipating trends, and translating insights into architecture.
- Preferred: public speaking, technical publications, or open-source AI/technology evangelism.
- Preferred: knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, AI ethics, and data security.
- Preferred: hands-on proficiency with Python, Go, Rust, or similar languages for proof-of-concepts.
- Preferred: advanced cloud certifications or deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure AI ecosystems, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Preferred: experience in high-growth startups.
