Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of Python and JavaScript libraries and tools for localization.
- Collaborate with engineers and program managers to design and implement new features in Pontoon.
- Improve internationalization within the Firefox codebase for better adaptability across languages.
- Engage in discussions shaping Mozilla's positions on localization standards.
- Support and guide the community of volunteer developers and localizers.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates across regions and time zones.
Requirements
- Strong experience in developing and maintaining web applications using Python and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and modern development workflows.
- Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) concepts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical roles.
