Responsibilities
- Partner with internal non-engineering teams to clarify ambiguous problems through conversation and rapid prototyping.
- Build and iterate on AI-powered skills, workflows, and agents for non-technical users.
- Choose appropriate tools and deployment approaches while balancing cost, speed, latency, security, and maintainability.
- Connect front-end tools with underlying infrastructure across the full stack.
- Debug failures in production and fix issues affecting real users.
- Measure outcomes after launch and identify reusable patterns across teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrated software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write correct, working code independently.
- Working knowledge of prompting, context engineering, and MCP tool/function calling, with a non-trivial output built using modern AI/LLM tooling such as Claude.
- A shipped end-to-end software project from a personal, academic, internship, or work setting.
- Ability to independently break down ambiguous, unscoped problems and drive solutions without a detailed specification.
- Basic understanding of system-design tradeoffs involving cost, latency, and security.
- Full-stack literacy across front-end, backend/API, and data layers.
- Some experience debugging failures in running systems rather than only local testing.
- Experience building and deploying agentic workflows or tool-using agents.
- Preferred qualifications include maintaining a live system used by others, exposure to multiple languages or stacks, and early product sense.
Benefits
- Preferred availability is full-time from October 2026 through June 2027; alternatives include part-time from October through December 2026 followed by full-time from January through June 2027, or full-time from January through June 2027.
