Responsibilities
- Build, optimize, and modify game rendering systems and related tools using C++ and modern graphics APIs.
- Work in large codebases to identify and implement improvements to graphics and related game systems.
- Create tools that improve rendering performance, iteration times, and team productivity.
- Produce stable, reliable, performant, and well-documented code and debug, analyze, and optimize code created by colleagues.
- Collaborate with Art and Design to create streamlined and flexible graphics systems.
- Guide and support less experienced team members.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional video game industry experience coding rendering systems in C++.
- Experience with at least one modern graphics API, such as Vulkan, Metal, or D3D12.
- Previous experience in a graphics-focused role working specifically on rendering systems and features.
- Experience identifying bottlenecks and optimizing rendering systems and multithreaded CPU and GPU performance.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of 3D rendering techniques and solid 3D mathematics skills.
- High proficiency in C++ and STL.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly, document work, and demonstrate shipped products.
