Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve a Raspberry Pi-based multi-node data collection system in the application lab.
- Integrate new sensors and support existing sensor integrations.
- Develop and enhance graphical user interfaces and data visualization tools.
- Operate within a Robot Operating System architecture to manage nodes, topics, and data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across hardware and software layers.
- Write technical documentation and team guidelines.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong C/C++ and Python or similar programming skills, with the ability to write clean functional code independently.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Experience with Raspberry Pi or embedded systems is advantageous.
- Experience or exposure to Robot Operating System is highly desirable.
- Experience with data visualization tools or graphical user interface development is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent English is required; German is advantageous.
Benefits
- Temporary, part-time employment with flexible working hours Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Minimum duration of 12 months.
- Employment is covered by the collective agreement for Austria's electrical and electronics industry, with student employment groups based on bachelor or master study status.
