Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the end-to-end Predictions mobile trading experience, including market browsing, order placement, portfolio views, and settlement flows.
- Architect performant real-time interfaces for orderbooks, price charts, and position P&L using React Native patterns such as TurboModules, JSI, and native navigator integration.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on gRPC and WebSocket integrations for live trading surfaces.
- Create reusable, well-tested UI components for Predictions and the broader Gemini mobile application.
- Shape mobile UX for new contract categories and features including combo and range contracts.
- Independently scope and implement solutions while making architecture and native-versus-JavaScript tradeoff decisions.
- Improve mobile testing strategies, release quality gates, and OTA-versus-native release decisions.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers on React Native practices, and use analytics and experimentation data to improve activation, onboarding, and trading engagement.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years building production mobile applications with React Native.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and deep knowledge of React Native internals, bridging, native modules, performance profiling, and debugging.
- Experience building real-time, data-intensive user interfaces such as trading, dashboards, or live feeds.
- Strong UX/UI sensibility and experience contributing to product and design decisions.
- Expertise in unit and integration testing for mobile applications.
- Ability to work rigorously and maintain auditability in a regulated environment.
- Preferred experience includes financial or trading applications, Expo, EAS, OTA update strategies, native module authoring with Swift or Kotlin, SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose embedding through Expo Modules API, gRPC, WebSockets, performance analysis tooling, and fintech, exchange, or other regulated products.
