Base Salary

$225k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Debug, patch, and optimize Chromium builds running inside Kernel’s microVM environments.
  • Implement and maintain browser network isolation, proxy routing, and IP handling.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure engineers on unikernel-based isolation, process scheduling, and kernel security policies.
  • Build internal tooling for binary analysis, crash triage, and vulnerability monitoring.
  • Help maintain secure software supply chains and reproducible builds for browser images.

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with Chromium internals, browser sandboxes, or renderer and network stacks.
  • Experience with the Linux kernel, microVMs such as Firecracker, Cloud-Hypervisor, Kata, or gVisor, or container isolation.
  • Strong debugging skills using strace, gdb, perf, or similar low-level tools.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, NAT, proxies, and TLS.
  • Background in security engineering or browser hardening is a plus.
