Base Salary
$225k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Debug, patch, and optimize Chromium builds running inside Kernel’s microVM environments.
- Implement and maintain browser network isolation, proxy routing, and IP handling.
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineers on unikernel-based isolation, process scheduling, and kernel security policies.
- Build internal tooling for binary analysis, crash triage, and vulnerability monitoring.
- Help maintain secure software supply chains and reproducible builds for browser images.
Requirements
- Deep familiarity with Chromium internals, browser sandboxes, or renderer and network stacks.
- Experience with the Linux kernel, microVMs such as Firecracker, Cloud-Hypervisor, Kata, or gVisor, or container isolation.
- Strong debugging skills using strace, gdb, perf, or similar low-level tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, NAT, proxies, and TLS.
- Background in security engineering or browser hardening is a plus.
