Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Infrastructure, Product, Engineering, and other teams to analyze applications, software, and services and drive security improvements.
- Design, develop, test, evaluate, deploy, and maintain security controls and cybersecurity infrastructure projects.
- Perform incident response, threat hunting, tactical forensic analysis, defensive operations, and cybersecurity investigations.
- Design and implement custom detection strategies and workflows supporting the incident response lifecycle.
- Use endpoint, network, cloud, authentication, firewall, and network-traffic data to identify and mitigate threats.
- Assess systems and networks for configuration deviations, policy issues, and vulnerabilities and support remediation.
- Collect, examine, preserve, process, and geolocate threat and digital forensic evidence using investigative techniques.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in security engineering or incident response within a technology company.
- In-depth experience with at least one major cloud platform.
- Strong knowledge of software development tools and infrastructure, including CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
- Comprehensive understanding of attacker tools and techniques, their detection and prevention, and high-quality incident investigations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical security and software concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a similar field is highly desired.
- Recognized cybersecurity training or certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, or CEH is highly desired.
- Strong experience with Splunk and other security monitoring tools is highly desired.
- Past DevOps or SRE experience with Kubernetes is highly desired.
- Experience with GCP or Alibaba Cloud, Okta, GSuite, cloud-based VPN services, Python, and Java/Kotlin is highly desired.
- Published cybersecurity articles, journals, or blogs are highly desired.
