Responsibilities
- Develop backend software for Databricks data and AI infrastructure products.
- Design and build large-scale distributed systems and SaaS platform services.
- Contribute to one of several strategic areas, including Log Analytics, AI/BI, Unity Catalog Business Semantics, or Databricks Apps.
- Deliver incremental product improvements aligned with a multi-year technical vision.
- Build systems that work with cloud technologies and handle sensitive data.
- Apply algorithms, data structures, and SQL to solve real-world engineering problems.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of production-level experience with Java, Scala, or C++.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world applications.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with a SaaS platform or service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision while delivering incrementally.
- Motivation to deliver customer value and measurable impact.
